a screenprinting sunday

How lovely is to wake up on a sunday morning for a screenprinting session.
It happened at the Print Club from 11am to 4pm. A good idea to get away from your computer and having a hands-on experience of printing your artwork on different types of paper and with inks that you would never be able to get from a regular house printer.

Green has several meanings. Each meaning could be illustrated by a particular tone of green. I decided to use the different key words that reflect green and laid them out within the green spectrum.

Green and imagery

Some random green images I picked today!

Green - a collaborative thought

Today is St Patrick's day. I asked my colleague to give me an image that features the colour Green. Jo went for Lady Gaga's insane outfit, Daisy imagines Jesse and myself driving this cute "pea" truck, Matt gave me Kermit the frog and finally Kate offered me two of her shots she took herself: a nice close-up of Peacock feathers and a psychedelic jelly fish. Thanks Creative Interpartners!

Origami has been so trendy lately. Folding in a sophisticated manner some piece of paper is a good means to make well-engineered packaging that would be used again in order to have a go with origami and convey an important message like saving the trees of the planet.

Pantone _ The compilation

My colleague gave a pantone mug to everybody at work for Christmas. I received the dark blue mug (286C). It was such a thoughtful and appropriate gift. I am obsessed with colour and I therefore love Pantone. So I decided to compile visuals where pantone has been used on different media. From the most obvious such the Home paint to the most brilliant use I just discovered: the Make-up packaging from Renata Viega. If anyone has seen other uses of Pantone colours, please let me know!

Bread & Butter

I am enjoying working on a new project which is firstly designing the brand identity of a coffee shop located in France. Hopefully, later-on, I will extend the brand onto the different media of the coffee shop. The coffee shop Bread & Butter will be a cozy place that aims to attract all members of families by serving British food specialties anytime during the day. The branding of Bread & Butter is directly influenced by British culture. I got inspired by the polka dots and liberty pattern that characterise the English style such as Cath Kidston or Emma Bridegewater.

When design encounters make-up

I just discovered on TheDieline website this lovely packaging project designed by Renata Viega. The pantone brand on mugs was a great success. The concept has been extended by Renata Viega through a range of cosmetics products. I really appreciate the Pantone brand on make-up insofar as this design is useful to describe the product on itself.
